“Where America’s Music was born..and lives on!”

A driving route stretching 333 miles through the scenic mountains of Southwest Virginia, the Crooked Road connects major heritage music venues and a thriving network of jams, festivals, and concerts in gracious communities all along the way.

Dickenson County’s portion of The Crooked Road begins at the county line on Dickenson Highway into Clintwood to The Ralph Stanley Museum, a major venue on the Crooked Road Music Trail. Also in Clintwood, you will find the Jettie Baker Center, home to Friday night jam sessions featuring some of the best musicians in Dickenson County. From Clintwood, travel on Dickenson Highway (Route 83) into Clinchco and into the Town of Haysi. From Haysi, travel 7 miles on Route 80 into the Breaks Interstate Park.
