First Virginia Fishing Trail

Rugged Dickenson County is located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. The County’s amazing terrain offers fabulous opportunities for recreation. Featured fishing sites include Breaks Interstate Park and the John W. Flannagan Dam and Reservoir. This Dam and Reservoir offers three campgrounds, five boat ramps, picnic areas, fishing, hiking, hunting, boating and swimming. In turn, Breaks Interstate Park offers something for hikers and equestrians, as the Cumberland and Pine Mountain Riding and Hiking Trail spans 28 miles to Pound Gap in Pound, Virginia. Fish species: Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish, Musky, Hybrid Striped Bass, Sunfish and Walleye.
